Ever dreamt of living in the country?

Green mountains. Pounding of the surf down on the Pacific. Toucans and parakeets in the trees. That's what I see and hear each morning as I start my work day.

I used to live in a crowded, polluted city. I commutted an hour to and from work. The busy routine wore me down. I saw less and less of my family.

A year off work becomes a new source of income

So we took a year off, and moved to Costa Rica. Since I wanted to keep busy while the kids were in school, I thought I'd try writing for the web.

I knew a bit about energy efficiency - not that much, really, but I was willing to research what I didn't already know - and I decided to create a website on it.

Nine months later my site is in the top 1% of websites worldwide, in terms of traffic. I made over $500 in April, $670 in May, and I'm headed for $1,100 for June. Not bad for something I started out as a way to keep busy!

Anyone can do this - no technical or web skills required

If you've ever wished for a more peaceful lifestyle, this is one great way to do it. Create a website on something that excites you. Plug away at it in the evenings, on weekends - or whenever you find the time. If you follow a well thought out process, it's easy to build content, build traffic, and build your website income, even if you know nothing about HTML or computers or networks.

Within a year you could have enough website earnings to quit your job, move to the country, and divide your time between your new website and wandering through the woods or along the beach...

Everyone has a website in them

You must have a website in you - a hobby, passion, or cause you could write about.

Or use the experience you got from a job, from your education, from living your life. You'd be surprised how many profitable website ideas people can come up with.

Imagine the freedom

Imagine running your own business - out on your hobby farm, at your cottage, by the ocean, or up in the mountains. You can do any of these by starting your own website, if you follow the same process I did.
