Energy efficiency and green blogs (2)
There are thousands of energy efficiency blogs and green blogs out in the blogosphere - but how many of them are worth visiting more than once or twice a month?
I'm a great admirer of good, subject-focused bloggers - that rare breed of bloggers who choose a topic, stick with it, explore its every angle, and present fresh, insightful perspectives on a daily or weekly basis.
Too many energy efficiency blogs, green blogs, and blogs in general seem to show bursts of activity - posts every day for a few weeks, then every few days, then only one a month. You stumble upon a blog that looks promising, only to find there haven't been any updates for half a year or more.
I can understand the blogger's predicament - it's hard work keeping up a steady supply of high-quality blog posts, especially if you're holding down a job at the same time, or if you run your own website and the blogs are just one side of the site.
Anyhow, here are a few energy efficiency blogs and related blogs I think deserve your attention.

blog.Eco20-20.com: Accurate and unbiased information about energy
The blog at eco20-20.com is part of a larger site (www.eco20-20.com) that covers clean energy topics and energy efficiency. Site owner Moses covers the clean energy side of things very well on his main website, and delves into energy saving ideas in twice-weekly updates to his energy efficiency blog. He provides short, sharp thoughts on ways to cut your energy use - often insights that don't seem to have occurred to the wealth of other bloggers and energy efficiency buffs on the Net. A good blog to subscribe to if you don't want to be drowned by constant posts - a couple of thoughtful posts a week do the trick nicely. http://blog.eco20-20.com/

MetaEfficient.com
MetaEfficient is one of my favorite energy efficiency blogs, with plenty of articles on energy efficient products, design and technologies. MetaEfficient.com provides frequent reviews of the most efficient technologies under development, and the most efficient products on the market. Their motto is "The Guide to Highly Efficient Things". Justin Thomas, the main writer of MetaEfficient.com, does a good job of carefully reviewing everything from electric scooters to biodegradable umbrellas to energy efficient toasters. Siel Ju, a noted green writer who runs GreenLAGirl.com, recently joined the MetaEfficient.com writing team as well. Both Justin and Seil's posts are well-written and inspire a good deal of commenting from readers. http://www.metaefficient.com/
