Remember - while you can use a regular CFL on a regular dimmer switch (don't worry, it's not dangerous), you'll shorten the life of your regular CFLs substantially by doing so. Your two choices for longer-lasting CFL bulbs on a dimmer switch are:

Buy dimmable CFLs to put on a regular dimmer switch
Buy a dimmer switch that works with regular CFLs

Remember, don't mix dimmable with non-dimmable CFLs on the same switch - in fact it's best if all bulbs on a dimmer circuit are exactly the same.

Dimmer switches that work with regular CFLs
