A non seasonal room extension on a rented house

I rent a home and there is an extensional room that was attached before I moved in. This room is not seasonal. I freeze in the winter, and die of the heat in the summer. The windows are storm windows, but it does not matter, as they still let in cold air. The room is made of aluminum half walls, and then the windows make up the rest of the walls. There is no insulation, therefore, whatever the weather is outside, it is the same inside. The room is totally useless to me, and I would love to make this a true seasonal room to used year round. Since I rent this house, I do not want to spend an extensive amount of money. Please if anyone can help with some ideas, I would be most grateful. My last resort will be to call in a contractor, but I think that will be the most expensive route to go. However, I could be wrong. Thank you for any and all advice you can spare.
